Prepaid Debit Mastercard – The Benefits

Master card

In a day and age that’s ruled by technology, and with time becoming a more precious commodity than ever before, convenience seems to be more important than ever. More and more consumers are drawn to the convenience of using credit or debit cards rather than cash or checks to pay for purchases. They are easy to carry, easy to swipe, and are also safer than cash. Although not everyone has access to a traditional debit or credit card, anyone can enjoy the convenient benefits of a prepaid debit Mastercard.

Unlike a traditional debit card, a pre-paid card is not tied to a bank account. This is good news for people who don’t have checking accounts, or whose debit card privileges have been suspended by their bank, but who still need a major credit/debit card in order to make online purchases or air, hotel, or car reservations. A prepaid debit Mastercard is accepted wherever Mastercard is, giving access to thousands of merchants worldwide. The cards are also quite convenient for travel. They are much safer and more convenient than cash or traveler’s checks, and they offer the same protection that a traditional credit card would. Loading up a pre-paid card before a trip, with the spending money required for the trip, is quick and easy, and allows easy access to the funds. Funds can even be withdrawn from ATM machines. Prepaid cards are also a good idea for anyone who’s plagued by an overspending problem. With a prepaid card, you simply aren’t allowed to spend more than your allocated amount.

There are a few major card issuers who will issue prepaid debit Mastercards. Cards can be purchased at some banks, although one of the easiest ways to find a card and to apply is to use the Internet. Once your card is issued, you simply “load it up” using the Internet or at a participating retailer. Applying for the card is hassle-free, with guaranteed acceptance. No credit checks are required, so even someone with a past bankruptcy or a poor credit history is guaranteed to be accepted. All that’s required to have a card issued in one’s name is valid identification. From there, simply load, activate, and start shopping!

Tribute MasterCard – Review

Master card

The Tribute MasterCard is often used to help rebuild a low credit score. It is an unsecured card. It is issued by the First Bank of Delaware.

This bank has been in the sub prime lending business for years. It can help to increase your score. This is because with on time monthly payments you will create a positive payment history on your report.

Your payment history is factored heavily when your score is calculated. It will also help your utilization ratio. This ratio is how much debt do you have compared to the credit you have that is not being used.

You will have an annual fee; this is common with these cards. Your APR will be 19.50% which is the industry standard. Your initial limit will be $300 and it will report monthly to all three major bureaus.

However the First Bank of Delaware is unique because they are committed to approving the most applicants possible. If you score is severely damaged you can still be approved, however instead of a $300 limit you will have a $70 limit.

It will report monthly to all three bureaus and works just like the card with a $300 limit. You will be eligible for limit increases. There are no finance charges and no account set up fees for both.

There is no application fee and you have free online account access. In addition there is no minimum income requirement and easy approval. You will be eligible for limit increases up to a maximum of $2000.

When you apply you will know if you have been approved within 30 seconds of submitting your application. For you to get the most benefit you should keep your balance at 20% of your limit. This will help because it shows that you do use your card and you are using it responsibly.

In sum we do suggest the Tribute MasterCard to anyone with a damaged credit history. You can use it to create a positive payment history and improve your ratio of available credit to debt.
